Comboni Missionaries in Ghana
The Comboni Family continues the mission of St. Daniel Comboni, first bishop of Central Africa: "I die but my work will not die." Today about 4,000 Comboni priests, brothers, and sisters continue the work of St. Daniel Comboni in 40 countries of Africa, North and South America, Asia, and Europe.
The Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus are an international missionary institute of priests and brothers. Founded in 1867 by St. Daniel Comboni, they dedicate themselves to the propagation of the Good News of Jesus Christ and to foster a holistic human development.
They are present in 16 countries of Africa. In Ghana, since 1975 they worked in Abor parish which gave birth to the following parishes: Akatsi, Atiavi, Tadzewu, Sogakofe, Adidome and Mafi Kumasi quasi parish. They also worked in Liati parish, which gave birth to Golokwati parish and Logba quasi parish. These parishes are in Ho and Keta-Akatsi dioceses. In the archdiocese of Accra, they are present in OLA - Our Lady of Assumption catholic parish - New Achimota.
The Comboni Missionaries achieve their aims of Evangelisation via:

- Vocation promotion
- Mission promotion
- Justice and Peace commitments.
